Mang Abel Ti Abra

Mang Abel ti Abra, legally registered as Leila's Loomweaving, is a cooperative of weavers and farmers mostly comprised by mothers that was founded in 2010. They are ANTHILL's first direct community partner and the first to benefit from ANTHILL's Community Enterprise Development Program. What started as a side hustle for most mothers became their main source of income as they banded together and grew the membership from 6 to 50 weavers. Cultivating traditional handweaving of Binakol, Kantarines, and Tiniri, these mother weavers ensure passing down the knowledge to the younger generation through our Master and Apprentice Program.
